About Ginger 🕮
Ginger Duncan is an emerging Los Angeles based singer-songwriter and multidisciplinary artist / puppeteer whose work intertwines emotional depth and evocative storytelling, spilling into her world of music seamlessly.
Ginger has been songwriting since she was a young teenager, following a passion for music picked up from a long lineage of musicians and songwriters. Daughter of songwriter Lanny Duncan and sister to musicians Shawn, Jeff and Matt Duncan, you might call her an honest heiress to surf and metal music…. with a tender touch. And with over a decade as a performer with the Bob Baker Marionette Theater, she is no stranger to the stage or the arts.
Wielding her guitar and armed with her own voice steeped in introspection, Ginger’s heartfelt music delves into themes of grief, love and self discovery, inviting listeners into a world of raw authenticity, tinged with poetic grace, wit, and always a little whimsy. Citing influences like Jefff Buckley, Smashing Pumpkins, The Beatles, Rilo Kiley and that dog., Ginger carries a voice and conviction of her own in a time of formulaic fame chasers. Call it art-folk with good bones, stealthily carrying a fast-growing fanbase brilliantly lighting her way.
